Spring Pastels Chalky Lime, Lliac & Turquoise

Pastels continue to be a huge fashion trend this Spring with many high street brands releasing new Sherbet / Candy / Ice Cream coloured ranges. My book Pretty Pastel Style which launched almost a year ago is full of ideas for decorating and styling your home and garden using a pastel colour palette. Above are a few images which I hope might inspire you to add some elements of pastels into your home. I love this vintage flower book page and wallpaper flag bunting idea which I featured in my book Homespun Style and how cool is this new triangle rug from Carpetright's new modern rugs range, I think this would look amazing on a white painted or white laminate floor. Pastel coloured Spring flowers are a cheap and simple way to bring pastels into your home, I love making loose posies, here I used soft coloured ranunculus, peachy white roses and bupleurum . If you don't fancy a pastel overload how about this last idea which I photographed at the lovely home of Nicky Grace, she used pretty pastel colours to paint the woodwork in her upstairs hall/landing but kept the walls white. I love the soft lilac mixed with chalky lime and muted turquoise. Are you planning to bring some pastel touches into your home this Spring?
